CLAW DSP · MIAMI

I build the toolsI wish I'd hadin the session.

CLAW DSP is independent audio software by Josh Berrios. Recurring studio problems become focused instruments; the engineer still makes the final call.

How CLAW decides what to build
Independent audio software

New where it matters. Quiet everywhere else.

A product begins with friction that keeps returning in the session. It stays in development until the useful gesture is obvious and every extra decision has been removed.

Read why Sketch exists
  1. Problem before product — begin with a recurring studio problem, not a category or feature list.

  2. A visible idea — the mechanism should explain itself before the manual has to.

  3. The engineer remains the author — assistance can accelerate a move, never make the aesthetic decision.

  4. Earn its place — a tool ships only when it can replace friction with a clearer creative action.

Founder

Josh Berrios / Miami

I founded CLAW because the tools I wanted were often generic, indirect or simply missing. I stay close to the studio so the software answers to the work — not the other way around.

First proof

Sketch / Product thesis

Sketch is the first proof.

A transient shaper did not need another fixed attack-and-release metaphor. Sketch makes the response drawable, then lets the detector decide when it should happen.

That single idea expands into multiband drawing, curve sequencing, a reusable library and three clip modes — without taking authorship away from the engineer.

01 / Problem

A recurring session need

Shape the life of a hit without assembling a chain or negotiating someone else's envelope.

02 / Gesture

Draw the response

The curve is not decoration. It is the control, visible and directly authored by the engineer.

03 / System

Movement with boundaries

Sequence, humanize and recall variations while the original musical intention remains intact.

CLAW DSP / What comes next

Still listening.

The next CLAW product will begin the same way: with a studio problem worth solving and a gesture worth keeping.
